Whether you are new to the sport or an experienced cross-country skier, our 50 kilometres of groomed trails will give you the relaxing experience – or challenging adventure – you crave. Your journey starts in our brand new 500 vehicle parking lot where washroom facilities and a warm-up shelter await. Then it’s off on the trails, gliding through the snow to the tunes of songbirds and the wind whispering through the trees. Cross-country skiing in our winter oasis is a treat for all your senses. Unplug from the everyday and glide through serenity.

West Bragg Creek


The majority of the winter trails in West Bragg Creek area are 10 to 15 feet wide and groomed with classic tracks on both sides. Skate skiing tracks are available on the East Crystal and Sundog Loop trails.

East Crystal Line

  • Distance: 2.8 km
  • Elevation Gain: 45 meters

About this Trail: This wide rolling trail is double track-set and also groomed for skate skiing. It’s also an access trail to many other loops for cross-country skiing and all-season trail users.

Iron Springs

  • Distance: 4.3 km
  • Elevation Gain: 100 meters

About this Trail: This is one of the wider trails and it winds past Boundary Ridge and Snagmore Hill. Iron Springs offers a good variety of scenery and can be combined with the Sundog or Elbow trails to add extra kilometres.

Moose Loop

  • Distance: 6.3 km
  • Elevation Gain: 80 meters

About this Trail: Start with a gentle downhill curve and stay upright over the dips. You can do it! Your reward is the next phase – wide open views across the marsh.

Sundog Loop

  • Distance: 3.8 km
  • Elevation Gain: 60 meters

About this Trail: With its own ski skate loop, this one is fun for those that are not new to the sport, but are not experts yet.

West/Middle Crystal Line Loops

  • Distance: 3.6 km
  • Elevation Gain: 65 meters

About this Trail: These loops allow you to customize your experience. Start and stay on the easy tracks, or work your way over to the more intermediate loop. You have the option of connecting to other trails from these loops.
