Elsdon’s Excavating first began operating in the early 1930’s as part of a diversified trucking business. Established by Thomas “Jack” Elsdon one of the early settlers of Bragg Creek and the operator of the Bragg Creek Trading Post. Robb Teghtmeyer came on board in the early 70’s, married Jack’s daughter Barbara in 1975 and took over the business. During this time they built the Trading Post Mall/ Shell station. Elsdon’s is now operated by Robb’s son Karl Teghtmeyer. Karl has been building his experience over the years in residential construction, heavy civil construction, highway construction/maintenance, and hazardous tree removal, heavy hauling, and has worked as an NSC (National Safety Code) trainer for commercial vehicle operations.
