Cross-Country Skiing & Back-Country Skiing

West Bragg Trails (WBT) offers 60 km of lovingly groomed cross country ski trails between November and late March, snowfall permitting. The area caters to both classic and skate skiers. West Bragg is part of the larger Kananaskis Country Trails System. WBT is proud to offer something for everyone on skis from backcountry enthusiasts, performance skiers, or those looking for a day of family fun. Come see what all the hype is about.

Skating

The BCCA outdoor skating rink is available to the community and is open seven days a week from 8 am – 11 pm during the winter months. The Bragg Creek Centre rink activities include free family skate, shinny, and stick and puck times. This quaint small-town rink has a fireplace to warm up by and is centrally located for more adventuring after.

Fat Biking

Thanks to volunteer time and generous donations WBT now has a network of fatbike trails that are groomed with state-of-the-art gear. Whether you are a beginner looking to rent and try it for the day or an expert WBT has a ride for you. This fun outdoor activity has increased in popularity over the past few years for good reason. Snowshoeing & Hiking

West Bragg offers endless opportunities for snowshoeing on Snowshoe trails, All-Season Trails, and the Meadows adjacent to Mountain Road or just break your own trail! Just remember not to snowshoe, bike or walk on groomed ski trails.

Equestrian

WBC has trails designated specifically for equestrian use in the winter and has worked diligently to provide winter equestrian trails that offer safe, exciting terrain while minimizing the potential for inter-user conflict. Plan your trip ahead and know the trail etiquette/rules before you head out on your next winter horseback adventure.
